Ankit Jaipuria has a family history in textiles. His grandparents and parents were wholesalers and retailers of unstitched textiles. But his foray into fashion happened quite by chance. After studying mechanical engineering at IIT-Delhi, he worked as a business consultant at upGrad.com, and as an associate at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Company). But life had other plans, and Ankit ended up at a fashion startup. The deeper he went into the ecosystem, the more he was drawn to it. He saw an opportunity to improve efficiency in apparel sourcing processes, and that led to setting up Zyod in 2023.
